The Church of Santa Croce is located in Greve in Chianti, precisely in the upper part of Piazza Matteotti. It is the town's main place of worship and was built between 1833 and 1835, on the design of Luigi Cambray-Digny. The church facade is neoclassical, with a portico and three arches, flanked by the bell tower, while its interior structure consists of a three-nave building with a coffered ceiling that ends with a semicircular apse.

The Church of Santa Croce is located in Greve in Chianti, precisely in the highest part of Piazza Matteotti. It is the town’s main place of worship and was built between 1833 and 1835, on the design of Luigi Cambray Digny.
The neoclassical façade features a portico with three arches, flanked by the bell tower, while its interior structure consists of a three-nave building with a coffered ceiling ending in a semicircular apse.
Very interesting are the numerous works that have been transferred inside, visible to the public, and mostly originating from nearby parish churches (pievi) once they were closed in light of rural depopulation in favor of a concentration of life toward the town.
Among the works we find a fresco of the “Madonna with Child” from the 14th century, attributed to the Master of Greve; “The Triptych with the Madonna on the Throne” from the 1400s, coming from the Church of San Martino in Uzzano; a wooden crucifix from the 15th century coming from the Pieve of San Cresci; the altar and ciborium in glazed terracotta from the 16th century, of the school of della Robbia and coming from the Church of San Silvestro adasd Convertoie; a plaster bas-relief of the Holy Family from the 17th century; the oldest baptismal font in the area, made for the Church of San Pietro a Cintoia, placed on the church’s forecourt.
The church is usually open during the day and is free to visit.
