MuGot consists of the permanent installations and the temporary thematic exhibitions of the CDRS, initiated in January 2019. The Center for Documentation and Historical Research of Gotica Toscana aps (CDRS) was established in 2011 to preserve the memory of the attack that occurred in the territory between Passo della Futa and Passo del Giogo. The battle to breach the German defensive line along the Apennines, the "Gothic Line", played a significant role in the strategic outcomes of the conflict and in the postwar balances.
At MuGot you can find texts, documents and testimonies on the theme of the war in the Tuscan territory and on the historical context of the period. They are aimed at visitors, scholars and school groups.
