Conca d'Oro is the sun-facing part of Panzano that overlooks onto the wide valley of the river Pesa; from here you can see a landscape as far as the eye can see of woods, vineyards and olive groves of Chianti. The name Conca d'Oro refers to the shape of the sides of the hill at that point, a basin.
