Monte San Michele

San Michele is a mountain of about 1000 meters above sea level and is located about twenty minutes by car from Greve in Chianti; starting point for various hiking and cycling tours, San Michele is the ideal place to spend the hot summer days with family or friends, walking or just having a barbecue in one of the many points that are located along the park.
Getting There
For those who want it is possible to reach the highest point, where the Hotel Restaurant San Michele is located, by car; a little above Greve a dirt road leads to the top. For lovers of trekking it is also possible to leave the car near Lamole, a place where a path starts that connects the small village with the park.
Interesting facts
The barbecue stations inside the park are free and equipped with tables.
During the night or at first light of dawn it is very likely to spot wild animals on the road leading from Greve to the top of the mountain.
